In October of 2025, members of the Niagara Regional Police Service’s Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit commenced an investigation into the sexual exploitation of children. The investigation stemmed from approximately 126 incidents of sharing child sexual abuse and exploitation material over social media platforms between May of 2025 and October of 2025. In October of 2025, members of the Niagara Regional Police Service’s Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit commenced an investigation into the sexual exploitation of children. The investigation into the child sexual abuse material led to a female who works as a bus monitor for the Port Colborne High School bus route. On Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at approximately 8:00 pm, Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) 1 District (St. Catharines/Thorold) Uniform Officers responded to the area of Carlton Street and Sunnylea Drive for a stabbing. Responding officers located a 32-year-old male victim with significant injuries consistent with an edged weapon. The victim was transported to an out-of-region hospital for treatment by Niagara Emergency Medical Services (NEMS). Read more…
