Crystal Methamphetamine and Fentanyl Seized During Search Warrant in St. Catharines

In June 2023, Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) Street Crime Detectives assigned to 1 District (St. Catharines / Thorold) commenced an investigation into the distribution of illegal drugs throughout the City of St. Catharines.

On July 19th, 2023, detectives received judicial authorization to execute a search warrant on a residential address located on Tasker Street near Cross Street, in the City of St. Catharines.  As a result of the investigation three suspects have been arrested.  In total, detectives recovered 24.2 grams of suspected fentanyl and 2.1 grams of suspected crystal methamphetamine.  The combined estimated value of the seized drugs is $5200.  In addition, detectives also seized $514 of Canadian currency believed to have been acquired through the proceeds of crime.

Dudley Ryel PHILLIP (54 years) of St. Catharines has been arrested and charged with the following criminal offences:

• Possession of Crystal Methamphetamine for the Purpose of Trafficking

• Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000

• Possession of Fentanyl for the Purpose of Trafficking

Erica K JONES (40 years) of Niagara Falls has been arrested and charged with the following:

• Possession of Crystal Methamphetamine for the Purpose of Trafficking

• Possession of Fentanyl for the Purpose of Trafficking

Ronald BUREY (50 years) of no fixed address has been arrested and charged with the following:

• Possession of Fentanyl for the Purpose of Trafficking

PHILLIP, JONES, and BUREY have all been released on Form 10 Undertakings.  PHILLIP is scheduled to attend court on August 29th, 2023.  JONES and BUREY are scheduled to attend court on August 31st, 2023.  All court dates will take place at the Robert S.K. Welch Courthouse, located at 59 Church Street, in the City of St. Catharines.
