On Sunday May 22, 2022, Niagara Regional Police were called to a robbery at the Red Apple Bargain Store on Ridgeway Road at Rebstock Road in Fort Erie (Ridgeway).
Investigation revealed that at approximately 5:00pm a lone male suspect entered the store, walked behind the counter in a threatening manner and demanded money from the register. The suspect obtained an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the scene. No one was injured and no weapon was observed during the robbery.
The suspect is described as:
White male Approximately 6’2” – 6’3”, slender build
The suspect was wearing:
Dark clothing including a dark baseball hat and a dark bandana or mask covering his face. Backpack that appeared to be full of items.
The male fled on a white bicycle southbound on Ridgeway Rd.

Anyone (residents or businesses) in the area with closed circuit security cameras, doorbell video cameras, or dash cameras are asked to review their footage for suspicious activity for the period between 4:15pm and 5:45pm on May 22, 2022.
