Following further investigation, detectives have made an arrest in relation to this incident.
On Saturday November 23, 2024, at approximately 4pm, detectives arrested a male after several hours of negotiations at a home on Churchill Street.
47-year-old Daniel Dale Rosebush of St. Catharines is facing the following charges:
– Second degree murder
– Attempted murder
Rosebush is currently being held in custody pending a bail hearing on Sunday November 24, 2024, at the Robert S.K. Welch Courthouse in the City of St. Catharines.
Detectives continue to search for the associate in relation to this incident.

Detectives investigating fatal St. Catharines shooting (original release)
At approximately 1:40pm on Friday November 22, 2024, Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) 1 District (St. Catharines/Thorold) uniform officers responded to a call in the area of Division Street and Riordon Street in the City of St. Catharines, following reports of gunshots.
When they arrived, they located 2 adult males with gunshot wounds. One was transported to a local hospital where they were pronounced deceased. The other was taken to an out of region hospital where they are currently being treated with life threatening injuries.
The investigation is in the preliminary stages; there is currently a heavy police presence in the area with Homicide Detectives, along with the Forensic Services Unit (FSU) investigating.
Detectives have information to suggest that this was a targeted incident.

Investigators are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying these males.
The suspect is described as:
Male White, approximately 50 years of age with a medium build. He has a salt and pepper Goatee. He wearing a ECKO brand hooded jacket – with logos and patches on chest area, a winter wool toque, blue jeans, dark colored running shoes with white colored soles and white trim. He is carrying a dark colored backpack.
The suspect associate is described as:
A white male, approximately 35-40 years of age with a thin build. He has brown wavy hair and scruffy goatee. He is wearing a dark hooded bomber (waist length) style jacket. He has dark jeans and dark running shoes on.
The suspect is considered to be armed and dangerous. If seen, please call 911 immediately and do not approach.
