On Friday, October 18, 2024, 8 District (Grimsby/West Lincoln/Lincoln) uniform officers with the Niagara Regional Police Service attended the area of Caistor Centre Road and Concession Road 5 In West Lincoln in regards to a fire call.
Investigation revealed that there was a structural fire at a residence in this area. The West Lincoln Fire Department arrived on scene and extinguished the fire.
An adult male was located in the residence. He was tragically pronounced deceased at the scene.
8 District detectives have taken carriage of the investigation and are working with the Ontario Fire Marshal’s Office and the office of the Coroner.
