Detectives Investigating Robbery in Welland

On Monday, September 23, 2024 at 9:00pm, 3 District (Welland/Fonthill) uniform officers with the Niagara Regional Police Service attended the Esso Gas Station located at 1000 Ontario Road in the City of Welland for a belated robbery call for service.

Investigation revealed that at approximately 6:20pm on September 23, a male suspect had entered the Esso, brandished a knife and demanded cash from the register. The employee refused and the suspect then left the store.

There were no physical injuries as a result of the incident.

The suspect is described as:

Male White Gray/black hair Wearing a Green Shirt pulled over his head, grey slip on shoes and a yellow reusable grocery bag

Detectives are looking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect.
