Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) detectives assigned to the 8 District (Grimsby / Lincoln / West Lincoln) Criminal Investigative Branch are seeking public assistance to identify suspicious persons believed to be armed with a handgun.
On July 18th, 2023, officers responded to a residential address on Frances Crescent near Northgate Crescent, in the Town of Lincoln regarding a belated suspicious person complaint. Upon arrival, officers spoke with a homeowner who had reviewed their overnight surveillance footage and found imagery of a suspect holding what appeared to be a firearm. It is believed the suspect was in the area checking for unlocked vehicles.
On July 20th, 2023, officers responded to a residential address on Lampman Drive near Biggar Crescent, in the Town of Grimsby and a residential address on Crown Street near Connor Drive in the Town of Lincoln, regarding belated suspicious persons complaints. Upon arrival, officers spoke with homeowners who had reviewed their overnight surveillance footage and found imagery of two suspects, one of whom was holding what appeared to be a firearm. The surveillance footage confirmed the suspects were entering unlocked parked vehicles with the intent to steal items from within.
Suspect #1 is described as follows:
– Male
– Wearing a balaclava with a visible reflective emblem over the left brow
– Wearing a light coloured hooded sweatshirt
– Wearing dark cargo pants with detailing around the pockets on each leg
– Wearing a cross body satchel
– Wearing dark shoes
Suspect #2 is described as follows:
– Male
– Wearing a balaclava and neck covering
– Wearing a light coloured hooded sweatshirt
– Wearing dark pants
– Wearing white shoes
Suspect #3 is described as follows:
– Male
– Wearing a balaclava and neck covering
– Wearing a camo coloured jacket or hooded sweatshirt
– Wearing a cross body light coloured satchel
– Wearing dark shoes
Despite the locations being separated by approximately 16 kilometers, detectives believe the involved suspects to be the same in each of the incidents. The method of transportation for the suspects remains unknown at this time. Given the presence of a firearm, members of the public who observe these individuals should not approach and are encouraged to dial 9-1-1 immediately.
Residents in the Frances Crescent and Crown Street area of Lincoln and the Lampman Drive area of Grimsby who have exterior surveillance capabilities are encouraged to review their footage and contact the lead detective by dialing 905-688-4111, option 3, extension 1009386 with any relevant information.
