Detectives Seek Public Assistance Identifying Robbery Suspect – St. Catharines

On June 25th, 2022, at 7:53pm Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) officers assigned to 1 District (St. Catharines / Thorold) responded to Shoppers Drug Mart, located at 181 Hartzel Road, in the City of St. Catharines for a theft investigation.

Upon arrival, officers learned a suspect entered the store, proceeded to the fragrance aisle, and began to conceal numerous bottles of men’s cologne.  The theft was observed by a store employee who attempted to intervene and stop the theft.  The suspect pushed the store employee to the ground and fled on-foot with approximately $900.00 of cologne.  The store employee sustained minor injuries.

As an act of violence occurred during the commission of the offence, the suspect is wanted for the Criminal Code offence of robbery.

Detectives have since obtained video surveillance (see photos) and are appealing to members of the public for assistance identifying the suspect, who is described as follows:

–          Male

–          White

–          30-40 Years

–          6’0” Tall

–          Slender/thin build

–          Blonde hair (short)

The suspect was last seen wearing:

–          Black jacket or sweatshirt

–          Grey track pants

–          Red baseball hat with Toronto FC logo

–          Blue surgical mask

–          Black shoes with white soles
