On Monday October 6, 2025, uniform officers with the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) 1 District (St. Catharines/Thorold) were dispatched to a bleated Sexual Assault incident in St. Catharines.
The victim informed officers that at approximately 1:30 PM, she was standing at the intersection of Geneva Street and Welland Avenue in St. Catharines when an unknown male suspect walked past the victim, then circled back and slapped the victim on the buttocks.
The suspect was described as follows:
Male White Late 20’s 180 pounds 5’8″ tall Wearing a long sleeve light grey/white shirt Grey track pants Grey shoes with white soles
The victim managed to provide a photo of the suspect for uniformed officers, who then canvassed the area and located the suspect male.
22-year-old Brady BURKE of St. Catharines was arrested and charged with Sexual Assault and Failing to Comply with Probation Order.
BURKE remains in custody and is scheduled to attend a bail hearing Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at the Robert S.K. Welch Courthouse, located at 59 Church Street in St. Catharines.
The NRPS Sexual Assault Unit has taken carriage of the investigation and have concern that there may be additional victims.
