On Tuesday July 4, 2023, 3 District (Welland/Pelham) uniform officers were called to Welland City Hall following two reports of a male engaged in indecent acts.
Further investigation revealed that in the early afternoon hours, a male had entered the public female washroom and performed an indecent act before urinating on the floor of the room. It is then alleged that the same male was engaged in a further indecent act in the entrance to the building, in the presence of a young female.
An investigation led to the identification of the male.
On Friday, July 14, 2023, 27-year-old Nathan Peddle (Welland) was arrested and charged with the following offences:
Indecent Act, contrary to section 173(1)(a) of the Criminal Code (2 Counts) Mischief Under $5000, contrary to section 430(4) of the Criminal Code Exposure to a Person under the age of 16, contrary to section 172(2) of the Criminal Code
Peddle is currently being held in custody pending a bail hearing on Saturday July 15, 2023 at the Robert S.K. Welch Courthouse in the City of St. Catharines.
