Man Arrested in Relation to Theft in Niagara Falls

On Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at approximately 11:57pm, 2 District (Niagara Falls) uniform officers attended the area of Garner Road and Mcloed Road, in the City of Niagara Falls for a break and enter in progress.

Investigation revealed an unknown male was attempting to steal a catalytic converter at this location, however when officers arrived on scene the suspect had fled on foot northbound towards Emily Boulevard.

The suspect observed police and proceeded to run westbound and a minor foot pursuit was initiated. Officers were able to locate the suspect where he was placed under arrest. As a result of search incident to arrest, officers seized 10 saw blades and 3 Dewalt battery chargers. K9 was also utilized for an article search leading officers to a yellow Dewalt Compactor.

Adam Knight (37 years old), of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with the following offences of:

Trespass at night Possession of a break in instruments Theft under $5,000 Possession of Firearm, Weapon or Ammunition

Knight was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
