Man & Woman Arrested in Relation to Commercial Break & Enters – Niagara Falls & Niagara on the Lake

Detectives from the 2 District (Niagara Falls / Niagara on the Lake) Street Crime Unit of the Niagara Regional Police Service have been investigating a series of linked commercial break and enters in Niagara Falls and Niagara on the Lake. 

On July 5th, 2023, several business’ in the Town of Niagara on the Lake fell victim to “smash and grab” style break and enters.  On July 14th and 15th more business’ in Niagara Falls were also targeted by the same suspect(s) resulting in the loss of thousands of dollars in merchandise and damage to property.  The suspect(s) committed the break and enters by breaking a window on the front of the business. 

The investigation led to the identification of two suspects.  The suspects (son and mother) were arrested on July 22, 2023.

Dominick Matthew Waindubence (19 years) of London was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

Break Enter Commit Theft (9 Counts) Theft From Automobile Under $5000 Possession of Stolen Property Under $5000 Mischief Under $5000

Tonya Marie Waindubence (43 years) of London was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

Break Enter Commit Theft Possession of Stolen Property Under $5000

The Waindubences were held in custody for a video bail hearing to the Robert S. K. Welch Courthouse in St. Catharines on July 23, 2023.  They were both denied release, and their next court date is July 25, 2023.
