Pizza Hut Grimsby A new Pizza Hut located a few blocks from Grimsby's downtown will open at the end of October

A new Pizza Hut will be opening this fall on Livingston Ave. in Grimsby.

According to a Pizza Hut Canada spokesperson: “We’re excited to confirm Pizza Hut Canada will be opening a new location in Grimsby this fall.”

The representative said that Pizza Hut has been expanding its footprint in Canada for 10 years and “our new Grimsby location is going to be yet another great way to bring happiness to this neighborhood.”

The lot where the restaurant is being built, at the corner of Patton St. and Livingston Ave., was previously home to a Shell gas station as far back as the 1970s. Before that, it was a private residence, according to a person reached at the Grimsby Museum, who declined to give their name.

The new Pizza Hut location will open towards the end of October. It will offer both delivery and take-out options for Grimsby residents. A patio is being built for customers to eat at the restaurant and “take advantage of the nice weather in the summer.”

The new building, which is still under construction, will also be home to a convenience store.
