Niagara Falls Stabbing Under Investigation

On Saturday August 20, 2022, at approximately 3:15am, 2 District – Niagara Falls uniform officers from the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) responded to a report of a stabbing incident in Niagara Falls.

Officers attended the R Bar and Eatery located at located at 5926 Main Street (near Ferry Street) in Niagara Falls.  Paramedics from Niagara Emergency Medical Services were treating a male victim for serious stab wounds.  The victim was transported by ambulance to a trauma hospital outside the Niagara Region where he remains in critical condition.

The investigation has been assigned to 2 District detectives who are being assisted by detectives from the Forensic Services Unit.  Currently there is limited details and suspect information as the investigation is in its early stages.   The suspect may have fled the area in a dark-coloured SUV or sedan.

Anyone (residents or businesses) in the area with closed circuit security cameras, doorbell video cameras, or dash cameras are asked to review their footage for suspicious activity for the period between 2:30am and 3:30am on August 20, 2022.
