NRPS Investigating Break and Enter at Pen Centre in St. Catharines

On February 10, 2022, at 1:17AM, 1 District St. Catharines uniform officers responded to the Pen Centre, on Glendale Avenue, in St. Catharines for a break and enter in progress call.

The initial investigation by officers determined that a male had just smashed the glass of an exterior entrance door.  Once in the mall the male smashed out a window at a store, located near the food court in the mall.  The suspect stole a skateboard from the window.  The suspect then smashed a locked glass exit door and ran from the mall property.

The suspect used a hammer to break the glass.

Officers set up a perimeter and a K9 Unit attended.  The suspect was not found.

Damage is estimated at $5000.

The stolen skateboard is valued at $300.

The suspect is described as:

White, male 5’9″ to 5’11” feet tall Slim build Brown short hair Unkempt beard The suspect wore shoes, light tan pants, a multi coloured hoodie, carried a backpack and his left hand was covered with cloth.
