NRPS Investigating Fatal Motor Vehicle Collision on Thorold Stone Road – Niagara Falls

On June 12, 2025, at 11:29 p.m., a Niagara Regional Police Service officer on patrol observed a serious motor vehicle collision in Niagara Falls.

Additional uniform officers from the 2 District (Niagara Falls/Niagara-on-the-Lake) office of the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) and emergency services personnel responded to the intersection of Thorold Stone Road and Dorchester Road. The initial investigation determined that a red 2020 Honda motorcycle and a black 2011 Hyundai Elantra had collided.

The driver of the motorcycle, a 22-year-old man from Niagara Falls, suffered critical injuries. He was treated at the scene by Niagara Emergency Medical Services paramedics and Niagara Falls Fire Service personnel, then transported to an out-of-region hospital for further care. Tragically, he died from his injuries at the hospital.

The driver of the Hyundai, a 19-year-old man from Niagara Falls, was not injured.

Both vehicles were demolished as a result of the collision.

Detectives from the NRPS Collision Reconstruction Unit were called to the scene and are being assisted by detectives from the NRPS Forensic Services Unit.

Roads in the area were reopened at 7:30 a.m. on June 13, 2025.
