Beamsville 4Paw Rescue: Nelly and Neko
Last week, we featured Nelly, but this week we are going to feature Nelly again along with her brother Neko because they are extremely bonded and cannot be separated.
Nelly is a very happy loving, little girl who will be often running to you for attention and kisses. Neko is an extremely affectionate boy who loves sitting your lap getting lots of attention and pets (which he would do all day long if he could). Both are very affectionate and love everyone, including other animals.
- Black/Female (Nelly)/Male (Neko)
- Born: Aug. 1, 2020
If If you are interested in adopting Nelly or arranging a time to visit, please complete the online application: http://www.beamsville4pawrescue.com/contact-2/contact/.
Did you know that black cats have the lowest adoption rate and the highest euthanasia rate?
Many rescues are reluctant to accept black cats into their program as they can be more difficult to re-home, leaving many of these cats waiting in pounds and municipal shelters for their forever homes. Whether it is due to superstition, prejudice, or that they blend into the shadows in the back of the cage, black cats are statistically less likely to be adopted than more brightly coloured felines.
However, black cats are often gentle and intelligent animals, that are as deserving of finding a loving home as other types of cats. Please consider black cats when adopting a new pet!

Lincoln County Humane Society: Sasha
Breed: Domestic Short-Hair: ~2 years old, Neutered Male.
Sasha is not sure how he feels about humans yet. He came in as an under-socialized stray. He is not very accepting of pets quite yet but is slowly learning to trust. Sasha needs a home that is committed to socializing him and helping him grow into a more confident kitty.
If you think you might be the right match for Sasha, please get in touch with our foster coordinator by emailing [email protected].
Did you know that Zoey is still looking for a forever home?
Zoey is a sweet girl, all about being with her person and playing. She does lack some manners and will need to be trained so she will understand what is expected of her. Her perfect home has a fenced yard, no other animals in the home, are committed to training and are active people. With some structure and guidance, this girl is going to be a great addition to a home that loves to include their dog in day to day activities!
Zoey has been with LCHS for a while and is ready to go to her forever home. Please consider adopting this beautiful girl!
