Prohibited E Scooter Operation Leads to Arrest and Drug Trafficking Charges – Niagara Falls

On August 29, 2024, detectives from the 2 District (Niagara Falls/Niagara on the Lake) Street Crime Unit observed a male operating an electric scooter on Morrison Street in the City of Niagara Falls. 

The male was known to detectives and a check revealed he was prohibited from operating a motor vehicle in Canada.  The male however had already left the area.  A short time later detectives observed the same male in the driveway of a home on Crysler Avenue in Niagara Falls.  Detectives arrested the male without incident for operating a motor vehicle while disqualified. 

A search incident to arrest resulted in the seizure of:

32 grams of suspected fentanyl (value $2200) 10 grams of cocaine (value $1000). 

The male was also in possession of a concealed collapsible baton and proceeds of crime ($1110).

Nicholas RODITIS (48 years old) of Oshawa has been arrested and charged with the criminal offences of:

Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (fentanyl) Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (cocaine) Possession of a Concealed Weapon Driving While Disqualified Possession of Proceeds of Crime 

RODITIS was held in custody for a video bail hearing to the Robert S. K. Welch Courthouse in St. Catharines on August 30, 2024.
