On July 17, 2023, at 11:15pm 1 District (St. Catharines / Thorold) uniform officers from the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) responded to a report of a robbery in St. Catharines.
Officers attended to the scene on Queenston Street near Oakdale Avenue and met with the 16-year-old male victim. The victim was not injured.
The initial investigation determined that the victim had been approached by an unknown male suspect. The suspect verbally threatened the victim and demanded his belongings. No weapon was seen. The suspect fled the area on the victim’s BMX bike with the victim’s iPhone, and t shirt.
The unknown suspect is described as:
Black male, 25-30yrs. 5’10 feet tall 210 lbs.
The suspect was wearing:
Blue jeans Black baseball hat Purple bandana under the hat Blue t-shirt Blue backpack

1 District detectives have been assigned to this investigation and are appealing to the public to assist in identifying he suspect. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the investigating officers by calling 905-0688-4111, option 3, extension 1009412.
