Seven people charged with Niagara drunk driving offenses in late August

Criminal impaired driving offenses Aug. 24-30

Here is the latest update to the Niagara drunk driving list, issued by the Niagara Regional Police Service.

NRPS has reported 7 names of people charged with an alleged criminal impaired driving offense in the Niagara Region for the period Aug. 24 to Aug. 30, 2020.   

From West Niagara communities, it includes a 53-year-old man from Pelham and a 29-year-old man from Wainfleet.             

In an effort to bring further attention and deterrence to driving while impaired by alcohol or drugs, the Niagara Regional Police Service reports the names of those people who are charged with an alleged criminal impaired driving offense in the region.                         

In addition to being charged, these individuals are also bound by a Ministry of Transportation 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension and are prohibited from operating a motor vehicle on a roadway. The public is encouraged to contact the Niagara Regional Police Service Traffic Safety Hotline or Crime Stoppers to report those who are driving in contravention of the suspension.

The following individuals were charged criminally with impaired driving by alcohol or drugs, driving with a blood alcohol concentration of 80 mgs or above of alcohol in 100 ml of blood, or refusing to provide a breath or blood sample.

Peter W. STUP, 20 years, St. Catharines

Richard M. WILSON ,28 years, Niagara Falls

Marvin L. WEIR, 37 years, Mississauga

Joshua J. SINGLETON, 29 years, Wainfleet

Joseph E. R. CASTELLANO, 36 years, Fort Erie

Jordon D. LARABIE 38 years, Welland

Impaired driving is still the leading cause of criminal deaths in Canada and affects thousands of lives every year.
