St. Catharines Detectives Are Investigating a Shooting Incident

On May 31, 2022, 1 District (St. Catharines / Thorold) uniform officers from the Niagara Regional Police Service responded to a residence in St. Catharines for a belated shooting incident.

Officers attended the home on Vansickle Road near McCaffrey Crescent.  Officers were directed to damage on the house and two cars on the property. 

1 District St. Catharines detectives have been assigned to the investigation.  Forensic examination conducted by detectives from the Forensic Services Unit have confirmed the damage sustained to both the house and vehicles was from bullets discharged from a firearm.

Further investigation has determined that the shooting incident is believed to have occurred at approximately 2:00am on May 31, 2022, and may have involved four to six shots.

No one was injured because of this incident.

Anyone (residents or businesses) in the area with closed circuit security cameras, doorbell video cameras, or dash cameras are asked to review their footage for suspicious activity for the period between 1:00am and 3:00am on May 31, 2022.
