In March 2022, Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) street crime detectives assigned to 2 District (Niagara Falls / Niagara-On-The-Lake) commenced an investigation into the distribution of illegal drugs throughout the City of Niagara Falls.
In the afternoon of May 24th, 2022, detectives received judicial authorization to execute a search warrant at an address in the area of Barker Street and Drummond Road, in the City of Niagara Falls. As a result of the investigation 606.3 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 178.5 grams of fentanyl, 285 fentanyl pills, and $4,970 in Canadian currency believed to be from the proceeds of crime was seized. The combined estimated street value of the seized drugs is $34,400.
Reggie James LOCKE (36 years) of Niagara Falls has been arrested and charged with the following offences:
• Possession for the purpose of trafficking methamphetamine – Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
• Possession for the purpose of trafficking fentanyl x2 – Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
• Possession of proceeds obtained by crime – Criminal Code of Canada
LOCKE attended a bail hearing on May 25th, 2022, via video link to the Robert S.K. Welch Courthouse, located at 59 Church Street, in the City of St. Catharines. He was remanded into custody and will re-appear via video link from the Niagara Detention Centre on May 30th, 2022.
