Toronto (Scarborough) Man Wanted Following NRPS Investigation

In early April 2025, detectives from the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) began investigating incidents involving allegations of death threats and criminal harassment.

The incidents occurred between March and April 2025 in the Niagara Region and involved an adult female victim. As a result of the ongoing investigation, detectives formed grounds to believe the adult male suspect committed the offences. The victim and suspect were previously known to each other.

Detectives have not yet located the suspect, and an arrest warrant has been issued for Jeremiah Rasheed Pooran, 30, of Toronto. He is wanted for the following Criminal Code offences:

Uttering a death threat Criminal harassment Fail to comply with a probation order Fail to comply with a release order

Pooran’s current whereabouts are unknown. Detectives believe he is actively evading arrest. He is also wanted in connection with a 2024 NRPS investigation for the following offences:

Uttering threats Fail to comply with probation order ×2 Fail to comply with release order Disobey order of court

In addition, Pooran is wanted by three other police services in Ontario.

He is believed to be hiding in the Greater Toronto Area. Members of the public who may see Pooran or know his location are urged not to confront him. Instead, please call your local police service. Anyone who knowingly hides or assists Pooran in evading arrest may face criminal charges.
