The Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) would like to thank the public for their efforts in assisting to locate the missing male in this incident. The male has been located safely.

Detectives with the 3 District (Welland/Pelham) detachment of the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) are actively searching for a missing vulnerable male in Welland.
Guiglielemo “William” Maddalena, 84, was reported missing at approximately 9:30 a.m. today from a group home on Hellems Avenue in Welland. Detectives are concerned for his well-being, as he suffers from cognitive issues.
Maddalena is described as:
5’4” 146 lbs Grey hair Brown eyes Short grey beard Fluent in Italian, speaks very little English
He was last seen wearing a grey fleece tracksuit and a blue neck brace. He uses a black walker for mobility.
