Vaccine supply for Niagara to start next week

COVID vaccine COVID-19 vaccine supply is about to become available in Niagara communities

Niagara communities will be receiving shipments of the COVID-19 vaccines early next week, with more each week thereafter, said Niagara West MPP Sam Oosterhoff.

In a press advisory, Oosterhoff said: “Many in Niagara have raised the urgent need for COVID-19 vaccine in our region. I have spoken with Premier Ford, the Ministry of Health, and the Solicitor General regarding this urgent need. I have been assured that Niagara will be receiving shipments of the vaccines early next week, with more each week thereafter.”

He said the early shipments will be targeted for high-risk and vulnerable populations such as frontline health care and long term care workers. 

“We are committed to ensuring every Ontarian who wants a vaccine gets one in a timely and ethical manner,” he added.
