**WANTED** – Na’el AL MAHSHI – Update 1 – Arrested

Update 1

Detectives from the Niagara Regional Police Service Human Trafficking Unit have continued to investigate this matter.

On May 3, 2022, Na’el AL MAHSHI was located and arrested in the City of Niagara Falls. 

He was held in custody and will attend a video bail hearing to the Robert S. K. Welch Courthouse in St. Catharines on May 4, 2022. 

Detectives would like to thank the public and media for their assistance in this investigation.

As a result of the ongoing investigation detectives have reason to believe there may be more human trafficking victims. Anyone with information about this investigation are being asked to contact detectives at 905-688-4111, extension 1009544.

In April 2022, members of the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) Human Trafficking Unit (HTU), launched an investigation into the alleged trafficking of an individual.

As a result, a suspect has been identified and police are seeking the public’s assistance in attempts of locating Na’el AL MAHSHI (36 years) of Niagara Falls.

Police believe there to be additional victims.  AL MAHSHI is believed to be in the Niagara Falls area.

If observed, please call 911 immediately.

AL MAHSHI is currently wanted for the following Criminal Code offences:

• Withhold/Destroy Travel or Identify Documentation/Trafficking Person Over 18

• Financial/Material Benefit/Trafficking Person Over 18

• Advertising Another Person’s Sexual Services

• Material Benefit from Sexual Services

• Trafficking in Persons by Recruiting

• Forcible Confinement

• Uttering Threats

• Procuring
