In March 2023, Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) detectives assigned to the Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit, began an investigation surrounding the online luring of a child.
Trevor Mackenzie STEWART (29 years) of Welland was arrested on April 5th, 2023, and is charged with the following Criminal Code offences:
• Luring a Child via Telecommunication
• Fail to Comply with Prohibition Order
STEWART has been held in custody pending a bail hearing scheduled to take place later today (April 5th, 2023) via video link to the Robert S.K. Welch Courthouse located at 59 Church Street in the City of St. Catharines.
