Welland Threats Investigation Leads to an Arrest Warrant – Update 1

Update 1 – December 16, 2021

On December 15, 2021, Joshua Nuziato was arrested in Killaloe, Ontario on the strength of the Canada Wide Parole Warrant.  Nuziato was held in custody and will be returned to Niagara at a later date. In respect to the following offences of:

Uttering Threats Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle Flight from Police

Original Release – November 20, 2021

On November 20, 2021, #3 District – Welland officers responded to a threat’s complaint in the City of Welland.  An investigation by members of the Welland Detective Office resulted in Joshua Nuziato (23 years / Welland) being identified as the person responsible for the threat. 

Nuziato was later observed operating a vehicle in the City of Welland and uniform patrol officers did conduct a traffic stop. Nuziato fled the scene at a high rate of speed.  A brief pursuit ensured, however was called off given the manner Nuziato was operating his vehicle and out of concern for the safety of the public.

An arrest warrant is currently being sought for Nuziato.  He is wanted and arrestable for the offences of:

Nuziato is described as:

White male 6 feet, 180 lbs., medium build Brown full beard, eyes and hair. Tattoos Right Forearm – “Nuziato” “Est 1998” Left Forearm – symbol – cross Chest – “Only God Can Judge”

At the time of these offenses Nuziato was on parole while serving his sentence in the community for previous convictions.  In addition to the above noted charges, Nuziato’s parole has been revoked.

Nuziato is believed to be operating a black 2006 Infiniti G35 2 door.

It is believed that Nuziato may possibly be armed, and members of the public should not approach him.  If Nuziato is observed  members of the public should call 911 immediately.
