Friday, Aug. 28

Fonthill blood donor clinic

Urgent need for blood donation. Each donation saves three lives. Strict Covid-19 safety guidelines are in place to ensure all who participate are safe. Donors must wear a mask. Blood donation takes approximately 1 hour, though the actual blood donation portion of the appointment takes only about 10-15 minutes. Fri-YAY trivia night at Station 1 Coffeehouse

Trivia Night at Station 1 Coffeehouse in Grimsby runs every Friday, weather permitting. Groups of 6 required. Adults only. To reserve a table on the Southern Comfort Patio at the back of the building call the cafe at 905-309-4000 or drop by to book in person. For more info click here.

Flat Rock Cellars food truck visit 

Flat Rock Cellars will host a different food truck from 2pm to 5pm most saturdays in August. Visitors can walk-up and order, then grab a glass of wine to sip with their lunch or dinner meal.

Sunday, Aug. 30

Yoga, mimosa, escarpment hike, lunch and wine at Cave Spring Winery

A nourishing day for your body, mind spirit. This event starts with with a gentle yet invigorating indoor yoga class (suitable for all levels) lead by Sharlene Styles in the new Cave Spring tasting barn. Participants will then enjoy a light snack and mimosa before a 1-hour hike at the base of escaprment through the vineyards and stopping for special wine tastings. The group will then resturn to the barn for a healthy grab and go lunch and glass of wine outside amongst the vines and escarpment views. For more information click here.

Moms Niagara hosts yoga and wine at Back 10 Cellars

A relaxing beginner-friendly yoga class in the vineyard followed by a choice wine and pre-packaged snack. Each ticket includes a cherry fabric face mask, locally made by Addy Bandz. Ages 19+ welcome. A portion of proceeds from this event will go to the Canadian Cancer Society. Full details here.

Rockstar red carpet tasting at Flat Rock Cellars

Book your seat for an exclusive seated tasting in the 360 Loft at Flat Rock Cellars, which overlooks the estate vineyards, Lake Ontario and the distant Toronto skyline. The theme for this first dinner and tasting in this special series is Peaches & Reisling.There is limited seating for Rockstar Red Carpet Tastings and there are 10 spaces available. Summer patio season is in full swing

AROUND THE BENCH COMMUNITIES – The Bench is home to many breathtaking patios in scenic surroundings across Jordan Station, Beamsville, Vineland and Grimsby. Many of them sit on the grounds of palatial wineries with sprawling estates and spectacular views. They serve premium wines and have restaurants that offer farm-to-table fare. Tasting passport to six wineries

Cornerstone Winery, Calamus, London Born Wine Co., Sue Ann Staff Estate, Rockway, and Harbour Estates have come together to offer a wine passport. Each ticket includes a wine tour for two people at the six wineries. Guests will enjoy three tastings at each winery. There is also a VIP option which includes 1 bottle of wine per passport at each three of the wineries (wine chosen by winery).
