Drug Investigation – Leads to Arrest in Niagara Falls

In March 2022, detectives from the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS), 2 District (Niagara Falls) Detachment, commenced an investigation into the distribution of illegal drugs within the City of Niagara Falls.  In the afternoon hours on March 21st, 2022, the suspect was arrested in the area of Ontario Ave and Park Street, in the City of Niagara Falls.  Detectives recovered 37.3 grams of suspected Fentanyl – with an estimated street value of $4700, and 0.1 grams of suspected cocaine – with an estimated street value of $100 dollars.

Kevin ANDREWS (50 years of age) of Niagara Falls was charged with the following offences:

• Possession for the purpose of trafficking fentanyl – Controlled Drugs and Substances Act

• Possession of cocaine – Controlled Drugs and Substances Act

• Theft Under $5000 dollars – Criminal Code of Canada

• Fail To Comply with Release Order x 3 – Criminal Code of Canada

ANDREWS was held for a bail hearing and will attend the Robert S.K. Welch Courthouse located at 59 Church Street, in the City of St. Catharines via video link on March 22nd, 2022.
