Detectives Attempting to Identify 2 Suspects in Relation to an Assault in St. Catharines

On Tuesday, June 18, 2024, 1 District (St. Catharines/Thorold) uniform officers with the Niagara Regional Police Service attended the area of  Merritt Street and Maplecrest Avenue, in St. Catharines in response to an assault.

Investigation revealed that three adult males had gotten into a physical dispute, resulting in two of the males beating a male victim until he sustained serious injuries.  The suspects were last seen headed southbound on bicycles into Thorold.

Niagara Emergency Medical Services attended the scene and the victim was transported to an out of region hospital.

He is currently in stable condition.

Detectives are attempting to identify the two suspects.

Suspect #1:

White male Wearing a yellow rain jacket, grey sports jersey, blue ball cap, black pants and grey sports jersey

Suspect #2:

White male Shirtless with upper body covered in tattoos, black shorts and white running shoes
