Detectives Attempting to Identify Youth Suspects in Sexual Assault Incident in Welland

On Friday May 24th, 2024 at 7:41pm, 3 District (Welland/Fonthill) uniform officers with the Niagara Regional Police Service responded to a Harassment call in the City of Welland.

Investigation revealed that an adult female victim was at the bus terminal located at 160 East Main Street in the City of Welland at approximately 6:45pm, when the victim was approached by a group of youth males that began harassing her, and commenting on her appearance. The victim attempted to walk away however they began closing in on her, attempting to physically touch her. One of the youth males then reached out and grabbed the victim’s chest area at which point she pushed the hand away and bus staff intervened.

The victim was not physically injured as a result of the incident.

The suspects are described as:

Black male 16-18 years old White ripped t-shirt Grey track pants White/back Nike High tops with blue trim Bracelets on right wrist

Suspect 6

Black male 16-18 years old Black long sleeve shirt with white logo Grey pants Black high top shoes
