133 new COVID-19 cases in Ontario today

COVID-19 test Ontario reported 826 new COVID-19 cases today, a slight decrease from yesterday's report of 841 cases.

Ontario Public Health confirmed 133 new cases of COVID-19 today and no new deaths.

That adds to the case count that has now reached 42,554 cases in the province, of which 38,506 are resolved.

According to Ontario Health Minister Christine Elliott on Twitter this morning, “29 of Ontario’s 34 public health units are reporting five or fewer cases, with 21 of them reporting no new cases.” She also noted that the province processed 24,000 COVID-19 tests yesterday and have completed over 3,000,000 tests in total.

She said there was also 137 more resolved cases today.

60 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized in the province. 13 are in an intensive care unit. Nine are on a ventilator.

Niagara Region reported one new case yesterday and one new case on Monday (Aug. 31). Today’s data is pending.
