In September of 2022, detectives with the Niagara Regional Police Service Child Abuse Unit commenced an investigation into allegations of sexual assault.
Subsequently on Friday September 9, 2022, a male was arrested and charged in relation to a 13-year-old female.
39-year-old Mario Bozza is facing the following charges:
– Abduction of person under 14
– Sexual Assault
– Sexual Interference
– Invitation to Sexual touching
– Expose genitals
Bozza is currently being held in custody pending a bail hearing on Friday September 9, 2022, at the Robert S.K. Welch Courthouse in the City of St. Catharines.
It is believed that the suspect was driving a distinctive vehicle during the commission of the offence, a 2019 light Ford Mustang with licence plate CHFY 702, aftermarket exhaust, black tint and black rims.
