An elderly woman has died after being struck by a car in Grimsby on Saturday.
The 71-year-old female pedestrian was crossing the street at 3:42 pm when she was hit by a blue Dodge Charger that was westbound on Main Street East at Nelles Road South.
Police say she was taken to an out-of-area hospital. She succumbed to her injuries Sunday, police said in an update. The driver, a 57-year-old woman, was uninjured in the accident.
The collision is under investigation. The Niagara police did not release the names of the people involved in the incident.
