On December 6, 2021, at approximately 9:55PM, 2 District – Niagara Falls uniform officers from the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) responded to a report of a robbery in Niagara Falls. Officers attended to a hotel in the area of Ellen Avenue and Centre Street.
Officers met with a male victim in his 40s and a female victim in her 20s. The initial investigation determined the male victim had attended the hotel to collect money owed to him for mechanical repairs to a car he had completed. The male victim attended a hotel room and the female victim remained in the car in the parking lot.
The male victim was confronted by a group of males who pointed a knife at him. The victim was threatened with the knife as the suspects demanded his car keys. The victim was able to escape the room to the parking lot where he met up with the female victim. As they were about to drive away, the victims were then confronted by a female and two male suspects . The males pointed a handgun at the victims and the female suspect brandished a knife. The suspects demanded the victim’s belongings. The victims were able escape when the suspects left the area.
Officers located the suspect’s truck at a nearby second hotel, also in the area of Ellen Avenue and Centre Street. Multiple officers attended and arrested the involved suspects.
2 District detectives were assigned to the investigation. A room at the second hotel and the suspect’s truck were held pending a search warrant. That warrant was executed on December 7, 2021, and detectives located and seized a CO2 pellet pistol and three folding knives.
The victims were not physically injured.

Robbery with a Firearm – 344(1)(a) CC Failure to comply with a Probation Order – 733.1(1) CC
Peter William Blaker (36 years) of Niagara Falls has been arrested and charged with the criminal offences of:
Robbery with a Firearm – 344(1)(a) CC Failure to Comply with Release Order – 145(5)(a) CC (2 Counts)
Kayla Wade (27 years) of no fixed address has been arrested and charged with the criminal offences of:
Failure to Comply with Release Order – 145(5)(a) CC
Patrick Charles Cline (49 years) of Niagara on the Lake has been arrested and charged with the criminal offence of:
Robbery – 344(1)(a) CC
William Bradley Prentice (46 years) of Niagara Falls has been arrested and charged with the criminal offence of:
Robbery with a knife – 344(1)(a) CC
All five accused were held in custody for a video bail hearing on December 7, 2021, at the Robert S. K. Welch Courthouse in St. Catharines.
