A Grimsby teen was arrested and charged with robbery yesterday outside a Welland residence.

3 District officers from the Niagara police’s Welland station were called to the area of Deere St. and Ontario Rd. to respond to a robbery outside a Welland home.

The investigation revealed that a vehicle containing three people was at the scene during the robbery, leading officers to identify a male suspect.

A 17-year-old Grimsby teen was arrested and charged with robbery. He was released on the grounds of an Undertaking, meaning that he has agreed to appear at his future court date.

The male robbery victim was not injured. Police determined it was a targeted incident, and the investigation is ongoing.
