Police search for missing Welland woman enters third day

The Niagara Regional Police Service missing person investigation into the location of Maria Jagiello in Welland enters its third day.

Police search efforts in the southwest area of Welland are continuing today after the 65-year-old woman left her home on foot at 7 p.m. Sunday in the area of Silver Wood Avenue Street and Roselawn Crescent. 

She is described as a white female, 5′ 10″ tall, with a medium build and blonde shoulder-length hair.

Police said today “officers will be in the area conducting ground searches trying to locate Jagiello.

NRPS are asking residents in the area who own security cameras to review footage from February 28, 2021, between 6:50pm and 8:00pm.  A police bulletin said any sightings of Jagiello should reported to 3 District – Welland detectives at 905-688-4111, extension 1009077.
