NRPS Investigating Shooting Incident in Port Colborne

On May 18, 2022, at approximately 4:30am 6 District – Port Colborne uniform officers from the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) responded to a report of possible gun shots.

Officers arrived in the area of Saturn Crescent.  A check of the roadway found evidence to indicate six rounds from a gun were fired. There have been no reported injuries. 

Detectives were called to the scene to investigate along with detectives from the Forensic Services Unit.  Forensic detectives have been examining the scene and homes in the area for evidence that they may have been struck.

There are reports that a dark coloured SUV was seen leaving the area.

Officers are canvassing the area to obtain any surveillance footage.  Anyone (residents or businesses) in the area with closed circuit security cameras, doorbell video cameras, or dash cameras are asked to review their footage for suspicious activity for the period between 4:00am and 5:00am on May 18, 2022.
