Pizza Restaurant Employee Injured During Niagara Falls Robbery – ARRESTED

On November 24th, 2022, at 6:30pm Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) officers assigned to 2 District (Niagara Falls / Niagara on-the-Lake) were on active patrol in the area of Victoria Avenue and Morrison Street when an individual matching the description of the suspect involved in the armed robbery that occurred at a pizza restaurant located in the area of Drummond Road and Lundy’s Lane on November 23rd, 2022, at 10:41pm was observed.

After engaging the individual and confirming it was indeed the wanted armed robbery suspect, officers placed him under arrest at 6:36pm.

Waase BALLARD (21 years) of Mississauga has been arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

                • Robbery

                • Assault causing bodily harm

                • Assault with a weapon

                • Possession of a weapon

                • Fail to comply with probation order

BALLARD is being held for a bail hearing scheduled to occur on November 25th, 2022, via video link to the Robert S.K. Welch Courthouse located at 59 Church Street, in the City of St. Catharines.
