The town of Lincoln has developed a new digital communication and engagement platform to increase engagement with Lincoln residents and businesses

The website, called Speak Up Lincoln, was designed “to enhance existing engagement opportunities and provide a place where community members can get updates and provide input on important Town of Lincoln projects and initiatives, at a time and place that is convenient for them,” said a news bulletin issued by the town.

The online engagement hub provides a centralized location for information and opportunities to share feedback. Community members can use it to track, and review town projects and issues that are important to them.

Lincoln Mayor Sandra Easton said, “This is just one of the ways we are supporting Council’s priority of being a Vibrant Community by enhancing citizen engagement and participation, and identifying opportunities for greater transparency, accountability, and inclusion.”

The town said it is launching the site at a time when in-person engagement has not been possible due to pandemic restrictions and the need to prevent community spread of COVID-19.

“Providing an online space for public engagement is especially important as the pandemic continues and we are unable to hold in-person meetings for the foreseeable future,” added Easton.
