Two new COVID cases at two Grimsby schools, plus four more in other Niagara schools

Niagara Region Public Health has advised the DSBN that three people at three different
schools, including one in Grimsby, have tested positive for COVID-19.

There is one case at Governor Simcoe Secondary School in St. Catharines, one case at
E.I. McCulley Public School, also in St. Catharines, and one case at Nelles Public School in Grimsby.

Niagara Catholic reported three cases as well.

One case at Monsignor Clancy Catholic Elementary School in Thorold.
One case at St. Kevin Catholic Elementary School in Welland
One case at Blessed Trinity Catholic Secondary School in Grimsby, although Niagara Catholic says there is no risk of exposure on this case.

The DSBN and Niagara Catholic do not identify those infected or whether they are staff or students, citing privacy reasons.

As part of COVID-19 case management and infection control protocol, students and staff who had close contact with the individuals have been told by NRPH to stay home and self-isolate.
