Further investigation has led to the arrest of two additional suspects and the upgrading of charges against two others.
On Thursday March 10, 2022, two females were arrested and charged in relation to this homicide.
41-year-old Rebecca Eden of Fort Erie and 40-year-old Rikki Anger of St. Catharines are both facing the following charge:
– First Degree Murder contrary to section 235(1) of the Criminal Code.
Both Eden and Anger are currently being held in custody pending a bail hearing on Friday March 11, 2022, at the Robert S.K. Welch Courthouse in the City of St. Catharines
In addition, the charges against 30-year-old Tristan Skelton and 30-year-old Andrew Blais, both of Fort Erie, have been upgraded to first degree murder contrary to section 235(1) of the Criminal Code.

UPDATE 2 – Detectives investigating Fort Erie Death – August 11, 2021
Further investigation has led to the arrest of an additional suspect.
On August 11th 2021 63-year-old Hendrika Skelton of the Town of Lincoln was arrested and is now facing the following charge:
– Accessory after the Fact to Murder contrary to section 240 of the Criminal Code.
Skelton is currently being held in custody pending a court appearance on Friday August 13th 2021 at the Robert S.K. Welch Courthouse in St. Catharines.

UPDATE 1 – Detectives investigating Fort Erie death – June 12, 2021
Further investigation has led to the identification and arrest of two suspects.
29-year-old Tristan Skelton of Fort Erie and 29-year-old Andrew Blais, both of Fort Erie are both facing the following charge:
– Second Degree Murder
Skelton and Blais were held in custody pending a bail hearing on Saturday June 12, 2021.

ORIGINAL RELEASE – June 10, 2021
At approximately 11pm on Wednesday June 9, 2021, Niagara Regional Police Service 5 District (Fort Erie) uniform officers were called to a home in the area of (Mathewson Ave and Dovercourt Rd) in the Town of Fort Erie.
When officers arrived they located the body of an adult male without vital signs. He was subsequently pronounced deceased at the scene.
The scene remains cordoned off for investigation by detectives and the Forensic Services Unit.
At this time the investigation remains on going by detectives with the Homicide Unit.
