Niagara Region Public Health said Monday the Ontario government has announced that individuals 55 years old or older in 2021 are now eligible to book a COVID-19 vaccination appointment via the provincial booking portal.
Ontario reported 3,436 new COVID-19 cases on Monday and 7,101 cases over the weekend. There were 96 new cases today and 223 over the weekend in the Niagara Region.
An elderly woman was struck by a car in Grimsby on Saturday and was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
