Male Youth Arrested Following Niagara Falls Stabbing Incident

On September 11, 2022, at approximately 6:30pm 2 District uniform officers from the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) responded to a report of a stabbing in Niagara Falls.

Officers and Niagara Emergency Medical Services paramedics attended a home on Simcoe Street near St. Lawrence Avenue in Niagara Falls.  Officers located two 16-year-old male victims.  One of the victims was suffering from minor injuries related to a physical assault and the other suffering from serious injuries related to a knife.  The victims were treated by paramedics and transported to a local hospital.

The initial investigation determined one of the victims had run from a suspect to a friend’s house on Simcoe Street.  The suspect caught him on the porch and physically assaulted him.  The second victim exited the house and was cut by the suspect with a knife.

The victims and suspect were known to each other.

At approximately 8:00pm the suspect, a 15-year-old male was located at a residence on Chrysler Street in Niagara Falls and arrested.

 The 15-year-old from male from Niagara Falls has been charged with the criminal offences of:

Assault Assault with a weapon Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose

The 15-year-old male was held in custody for a video bail hearing to the Robert S. K. Welch Courthouse in St. Catharines on September 12, 2022.
