The Ontario government’s online booking portal for vaccinations now allows people ages 40 and older to find pharmacies where they can get a jab with the COVID vaccine.

The portal now allows people who turn 40 in 2021, and older, to register for the vaccine at pharmacies across Ontario.

Numerous pharmacies across West Niagara are participating.

Many pharmacies are using a website platform that will allow you to register for when vaccines become available.

For example, Shoppers Drug Mart has a registration form on its website for all its locations click here. A staff member at the Niagara Info was able to book a request for a vaccine jab in Grimsby through this mechanism today.

Others pharmacies are asking people to call them to book.

Pharmacies are vaccinating with the AstraZeneca vaccine, which is believed to be more effective in fighting COVID variants.

Niagara’s pharmacies have administered 10,000 vaccines, while doctor’s offices have provided 1,500.
