Sexual Assault Detectives Seek to Identify Suspect – Niagara Falls

On December 26th, 2022, at 8:12pm Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) officers assigned to 2 District (Niagara Falls / Niagara-on-the-Lake) responded to the arcade inside the Skylon Tower, located at 5200 Robinson Street, in the City of Niagara Falls for a sexual assault that just occurred.

Initial investigation has revealed an adult female was exiting the bathroom at approximately 7:50pm when she was approached by an unknown male from behind.  Subsequently, an interaction constituting sexual assault took place.  The victim sustained minor physical injuries and was assessed at the scene by Niagara Emergency Medical Service (NEMS) paramedics before being transported to a local hospital for treatment.  The victim has since been released from hospital and continues to recover at home.

Detectives assigned to the NRPS Sexual Assault Unit have assumed carriage of the investigation and are appealing to members of the public for assistance identifying the suspect, described as follows:

–          Male

–          White

–          20-30 years

–          Clean shaven

–          Wearing a black baseball hat

–          Wearing a black winter jacket

–          Wearing a green hoody (hood up)

–          Wearing black pants

The victim and suspect were not known to one and another.
