West End Hair Studio in Grimsby, the salon that occupies the iconic old fire hall on Main Street East, is closing this month after 21 years in business.
“While it breaks our hearts to make this announcement, it is the best move for the business,” owner Jennifer Ammendolia wrote on the studio’s Facebook page on Wednesday.
A rental sign also went up on the building. Ammendolia cited “unforeseen circumstances” as the reason for closing on social media. Niagara Info has reached out to Ammendolia for further details and will update when we reach her.
The salon will also be contacting clients who have prebooked hair appointments beyond November.
The salon is yet another business that has closed this year on the downtown Grimsby strip. They include Found, Happy Baby, Crockadoodle and others. Most have cited business conditions due to COVID-19 as the reason for closing.
